How to Repair Windows Updates for XP

One of the most common problems In Windows XP is Windows Updates suddenly no longer working.  The page will either report an error, or just continue in a loop never getting to the updates. This is a repair that will fix about 90% of Windows Updates problems in Windows XP.  Including the 0x8007005 Error. Before following, PLEASE try running Windows Updates with your Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware software disabled as this may be causing your problem. Step 1:  Download and Install the MSXML3 Package from Microsoft HERE. Step 2: Copy the following into Notepad and save as WUFIX.BAT

Step 3: Run the WUFIX.BAT file you just created and restart the computer.  Windows Updates should be working again.  Good luck.
