Cheney Funding

Earlier this week in Congress the Senate Appropriations Committee voted to cut off funding to the Office of the Vice President until Dick Cheney's office complied with an executive order in which he would have to turn over documents complying with the national security disclosure rules. Cheney has been denying that he has to follow the rule claiming that he's immune since he's also President of the Senate and thus not fully part of the Executive Branch. Yet previously he's denied documents to the Senate claiming he fall under Executive Privilege. These claims that basically amount to him being his own 4th branch of government have upset a lot in Congress, and citizens as well. Unfortunately, today a lone Democrat changed his vote in the committee and thus the funding to Cheney's office has been resumed. Panel Cuts Cheney Funding Panel Restores Cheney Funding

Impeach Cheney

A few days ago I wrote about Cheney's recent absurdity that he is somehow a 4th branch of government as he's claiming to not be a part of the legislative or executive branch of government. This is after all the lies, hindrances to a transparent government, and possibly illegal acts he's done. Well some representative's in the House of Representatives are finally doing something about it. They have drafted and submitted to the House Judiciary CommitteeH. Res. 333. This is an article of impeachment against Vice President Cheney. 14 representatives have already announced support for it (and introduced by a representative from Ohio). If you would like to voice your support for the resolution, contact your congressperson and visit the sites below. True Majority Impeach Cheney
